Marike sê
Maybe I should explain the pic with me pointing at his forehead.
We have been living and working in the Kruger National Park for the past 6 months, while producing television inserts for the SABC’s environmental programme, 50/50. Our topics ranged form filming programmes on rhinos, elephants and anthrax. We shared our yard with warthogs, elephants and hyenas and our golf course with crocodiles, hippos and the occasional leopard or lion. Sometimes were were out long after dark to have a sundowner at Lake Panic with it’s resident hippos or hyenas on their way to dinner.
Never did anyone get hurt, but one week back in dangerous Cape Town and David rocks up for our production meeting with a massive black and blue shiner on his forehead. A souvenir from the party the night before.
Leer jou niks – wys jou net!”
